Dr Rena Uberoi
Rena qualified from Guys Hospital in 1993. Since then she has been in general practice where she has pursued her interests in aesthetics and occlusion after having received training from the Aesthetic Advantage course in New York and with the Stockport IPSO dental group for occlusion.
In 2007 Rena received a diploma in Implantology and since then she has joined the restorative team at LXIR where she is involved in the management and treatment of complex restorative cases.
Currently Rena is working with a master technician Mr Brian Mearns who has worked with pioneers of occlusion such as Charles Stuart and Peter K Thomas.
At LXIR Rena’s main role is to take mounted reference models and, then, to analyse these precisely, with a view to designing, fitting and adjusting therapeutic occlusal splints. The aim is to stabilise the temporomandibular joint and the surrounding neuromusclulature prior to any complex treatments. After this, she gets involved in constructing an occlusal scheme that works in harmony with the stabilised TMJ, which guides the rehabilitation of a patients occlusion.
